"Get REAL About Safety"

This interactive 2-day seminar & workshop provides senior managers, mid-level managers and floor / jobsite level supervisors with the information and knowledge needed to raise the bar in safety performance. The seminar discusses the difference between traditional safety programs and high performance safety cultures. It describes three critical requirements for effective culture change and provides a 12-step methodology for acheiving safety excellence. Numerous group activities are built into the program to anchor the concepts. On completion of the seminar, participants will be trained, committed and motivated to raise the bar in safety performance. This seminar is a core requirement for clients utilizing our culture change services.

On request, a third day "gap session" can be added. Beyond Compliance - Moving to Safety Excellence

Today, many organizations seek operational excellence in every area of performance. Unfortunately, safety is an area where performance often lags. The key to stellar safety performance is organizational culture. Implementing safety programs without actively working to shape a supporting performance culture sets up a "program" mindset that destines the organization to mediocre results.

In this presentation, the speaker will discuss the need for objectively assessing an organization's current safety culture, twelve critical building blocks necessary for creating a high-performance safety culture, and how to avoid some common failures in changing culture.

This conference presentation can be conducted in a 1 or 2 hour format.


Dynamics of Culture Change

The majority of culture change efforts fail to produce the desired results. The speaker will discuss organizational forces that can pull change efforts off track and how to keep them on track. The speaker will also cover success strategies, four categories of individuals in any change effort, and how to manage resistance to change.
